International Baccalaureate (IB)

The IB Mission:

The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

Mission Statement: Through open-minded inquiry-based learning, we will empower students to be college and career-ready to succeed in a global society. 

IB Program Highlights:

• Rigorous and comprehensive global education
• Opportunities for domestic/International travel
• Engage in independent research with Personal Project and Extended Essay
• Bright Futures Scholarship Eligibility
• Annual traditions include IB Induction Ceremony, Junior Class Pinning, Extended Essay Symposium, Personal Project Showcase, and Culture Shock. 

Points of Pride:

• IB Graduates earn at least 24 college credits before entering college/university
• IB Graduates are accepted in outstanding higher educational institutions worldwide
• IB Diploma recipient automatically qualifies for the Florida Academic Scholars’ Bright Futures Scholarship
• IB students donate at  least 200 hours of service to the community over four years
• IB students are leaders in the school, participate in sports, hold offices in student government and clubs
